Facial reconstruction is necessary when there is a congenital defect, post-tumor damage or trauma to the face and jaw that must be repaired. Each defect is unique requiring a reconstructive surgical intervention to address the problems and treatment options. In many occurrences, restoration of a normal structure is possible with improvement in function and appearance.
